Basic research and development has been completed and the product may have potential value; in use evaluations/trials are now needed in an NHS clinical setting. (recommendation 2)

This product is a single use laryngoscope.

The panel fully supports the principle of single use laryngoscopes following local assessment. Assessment should cover situations where infection transmission is critical and not adequately covered by 1) sterilization or 2) cleaning and disinfection of conventional laryngoscopes, or use of single-use blades.
